Years ago, when my mom’s health took a turn for the worst, I remember sitting alone in my dad’s truck and wishing for songs of comfort. Songs I listened to just fine the day before somehow didn’t work with the state of my heart. It was then I decided I wanted to make the kind of creative projects that sit with you in any state.

This has inspired my podcast, “The Quiet Place”, my book, “We Take Our Turns”, “The Mercy Room” online gatherings, songs, writings and occasional drawings. You are of course welcome to listen or read when you’re feeling great, but you can also curl up when you need the comfort of a friend.

By the way, I can’t stand photoshoots.

One of the ways I’ve been able to keep making things is through the generous and kind support from people like you who would read this far. Thank you so much for being here.

With love, Sherri

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
